Dem is a roots reggae, rocksteady sextet based in Galveston, TX. Dem embraced reggae upon its formation with influences such as The Gladiators, Dennis Brown, Los Cafres, and Bob Marley to name a few. Dem have been featured in Galveston Parrot, Galveston’s Islander, Houston Press, and shared the stage with international acts such as Lee Scratch Perry, Kabaka Pyramid, Katchafire, Gondwana, and Dread Mar I. Forming in 2014, Dem has established a unique sound with the strange ability to warm you up with their irresistible down-beat cadence committed to reach a wide audience composing both in English and Spanish.
