On March 2, 2018, Anthony Stephan House became the first victim of what has become known as the Austin Bombings. The quiet and loving husband and father of an 8 year old girl opened a package on his porch, resulting in a devastating explosion. Sean Philips, a RestPit volunteer, is Houses’ next door neighbor and was the first person on scene and rendered aid, but unfortunately Mr House succumbed to his injuries. Philips’ and House’s daughters are best friends so Philips reached out to RestPit Chief of Operations Scott Barr, to help organize a benefit to send Mr. House’s daughter on a summer time adventure, in an effort to give a little bit of her childhood back, as well as supporting her college trust fund.

The event features two stages of live music, crawfish paella by Howdy, art installations, live painting, live screen printing, a silent auction, craft vendors and

Live performances by Tameca Jones, Kalu & the Electric Joint, HeartByrne, Nakia & the Blues Grifters, Blastfamous USA, Possessed By Paul James, Trouble In The Streets, Graveltooth, Think No Think, Matt Hubbard Trio, Fort Never, Thunderosa, Sunrise Police and Citizen Banned Radio.
