If you haven’t heard of the Iceman Special by now, you’ve probably been living under a rock for the last two years. This futuristic, acid-washed, funky, prog-rock outfit has exploded out of New Orleans onto the national festival scene with a “go big or go home” mentality. They are making a name for themselves as a band that is rooted in the Louisiana music tradition, yet sounds like nothing that’s ever come out of New Orleans before.
