Zach Person’s roots stem from the east coast; born in New Jersey and then moving to the small town of Southern Pines, North Carolina at the age of 3. ZP began studying guitar at age 10 under the direction of Baxter Clement (Owner of Casino Guitars in NC). At 13 his family relocated to the gulf coast city of Houston, TX. There he began songwriting and performing for Texas crowds in and around the region.

In 2016, ZP competed on Season 15 of American Idol on FOX television. After leaving the show at the top 24 decision, he returned to Houston to continue pursuing his career.

Over the next few years, ZP performed for/with artists such as Buddy Guy, Keith Urban, Harry Connick JR and many others. In November of 2018, ZP performed as Amazon Web Services’s (AWS) first live band for their annual re:Invent conference at the Las Vegas fairgrounds.
