Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds
Saturday 5:00-6:30pm on the Main Stage
This bird can sing! New York based bluesy rebels seven-piece soul/rock band is led by big-voiced singer Arleigh Kincheloe on lead vocals, her harmonic-shredding brother Jackson Kincheloe, Sasha Brown on guitar, Josh Myers on bass, Phil Rodriguez on the trumpet, Brian Graham on saxophone and Dan Boyden on drums, bringing its hard soul collective sound to the stage at Art Outside. One of the funkiest and tightest groups you can catch live.
Nashville style southern hearty blues and jazz rousing horn section, the performance at Art Outside is going to bring unprecedented sass and energy that gets crowds singing along, like witnessing the reincarnation of Janis Joplin. A diminutive singer with a climatic voice no amount of sound can overpower, grafted by a shredding bass, a guitar and a harmonica plus a horn section – now that is what we call a super sonic party.
Flow Tribe
Saturday 12:00-1:00pm on the Main Stage
Homegrown New Orleans group of 6-piece talented, sexy, boogie down funk are spreading good loving vibes and feverish grit that make you weak at the knees. Primed and brazen performers sharing the stage with the likes of Trombone Shorty, Juvenile, and BIll Summers just to name a few.
The project formed by the native New Orleans boys in 2004, since has been relentlessly touring and heating up the festival circuits with a reverend groove of funk and rock. A genius variety of soulful sound crafts an eclectic blend of funk, rock and reggae guaranteed to have you dancing no matter what.
Mike Dillon
Sunday 1:30-2:30pm on the Main Stage
Texas born native and New Orleans based, Matt Dillon channels the deep funky grooves, experimental beats, and an energy channeled by the great rocker, Frank Zappa. A ballsy, ferociously dynamic collection of sounds sets thrill to your deepest, percussive, punk rock souls. The mission is to “Bring percussion to the people†says Dillon.
“People are always trying to figure out how to describe our music. Maybe we should call it New Orleans punk jazz Brazilian math rock? It’s a gumbo of tribal percussion, The Meters, old school hardcore, Brazil, hard bop and anything else that might move us,†concludes Dillon. “But you know, I really don’t care what you call it.â€
Henry + The Invisibles
Friday 8:30-9:30pm on the Midway Stage
Native Texan “One Man Phunk Band†consistently brings high energy electronic and multi instrumentalist live fusion funk/soul to a new level. Henry and his “invisible 5-piece band†live loops with an unforgettable soulful voice, Fender jazz bass and a flux of keyboard/synth sounds with drums- all by the supernaturally talented one man band!
Close your eyes and take a journey on this soul train with a direct ride to a throw back funky deliverance of Prince’s mastery guitar skills, James Browns addictive rhythms and the greasy grit of Sly and the Family Stone.

Late Night Friday 4:00-5:15am on the Dome Stage
Derek VanScoten is a Houston, Texas guitarist and producer creating symbiotic and electrifyingly, gorgeous listening experience by way of a juxtaposition of varying styles from electronic remixes, melodic guitar sounds, and diverse performance.
As a respected multi-instrumentalist and driver of a percussive dreamscape that builds smooth and heartwarming melodies, playful chimes while sprinkling in creative remixes of all types of music. He has performed with diverse talents like Devotchka, The Motet, DJ Logic, and the Boulder Philharmonic.
Golden Dawn Arkestra
Saturday 9:00-10:00pm on the Midway Stage
If you can imagine a funky/jazz interplanetary expedition to the best dance party ever, envision the Golden Dawn Arkestra alongside the likes of Fela Kuti and Sun Ra. A mothership of boldly theatrical and ritualistic elements heightened by a musical escapade of your senses. Come experience mega musical tribe of up to 14 extraordinary performers orchestrating an otherworldly live performance of afrobeat rhythms, psychedelic rock and exhilarating grooves.
No frill funk with all the fringe and decorum of an out of this world cultural and conscious trip that drives a cosmic trance message “that we’re not from here. That we are all spiritual beings and music transcends all.â€
Boombox
Saturday 12:30-2:30am on the Main Stage
Rock duo and longtime friends, Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux, rock multi-instrumentalist, producers and djs are sweeping across in the funky impromptu grooves and magnetic energy straight to the closest eardrum. All the likings of a psychedelic jam band with all the incorporating elements of funk, soul, R&B and house music.
The latest EP “Filling in the Color†is redefining the sounds they grew up with, particularly the Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix while adding in new influences like Gorillaz with a well mixed in and authentically their own disco funk groove.
