The Point’s Joe Roddy and Jack Montesinos first started this project in high school. The two have been playing in the Austin music scene much, much longer. The Austin Chronicle called them “Homegrown prodigy rockers.” At the age of 12, Roddy first took the stage playing trumpet. Montesinos began even earlier, when his father, Ted Roddy, would take him to play at the Historic Victory Grill’s Monday blues nights at just 10 years old. Their sound is psychedelic, surf soul at its finest!
