Fu*k 2016: A Funky Tribute To Musicians We Lost In 2016 ft. Members of Turkuaz and The Motet, w/ Special Guests RumpleSTEELskin + The London Souls late night in The Den
As we all know, 2016 was a tough year. We lost so many legendary musicians, like David Bowie, Prince, George Michael, Leonard Cohen, Bernie Worrell, and the list goes on. As part of this year’s Jazz Fest Late-Nite Series at The Howlin Wolf New Orleans, members of Turkuaz and The Motet will team up for “Funk 2016: A Tribute To Musicians We Lost” on Sunday, April 30th.
Craig Brodhead, Shira Elias, and Michelangelo Carubba of Turkuaz will collaborate with Joey Porter, Garrett Sayers, and Lyle Divinsky of The Motet to perform what is sure to be an incredibly funky tribute to the iconic musicians that left us last year. Expect some special guests to join in as well.
The Revivalists side project RumpleSTEELskin will open the show, and The London Souls will play an intimate late night show in The Den immediately following the tribute set.
