Global Village, H-Town’s own modern funk pioneers, are taking up the mantle again in 2018. After 15 years of being the naughty darlings of the Houston music scene, then a decade of members doing their own projects, a raucous sold out reunion show revealed how hungry H-Town still is for GV’s brand of Funk. While 2017 was the year of the reunion, 2018 brings GV back to its lineup from its most recent LP, 2000’s “Sugar What?”, with a few extra players thrown in for good measure.

GV is going to bring what they always have – soulful vocals, a tight rhythm section and, of course, the H-Town horns. With a large catalog of originals – with tunes such as Sugar Butt, New Blood, and Butta – as well as some renditions of funk classics, you can count on a Funkin’ good time.
