Honey Made is a nine-piece Austin, Texas-based band known for their high-energy, modern take on classic funk and soul music, drawing comparisons to James Brown and Earth, Wind & Fire. They blend influences from funk, R&B, soul, and even hip-hop, creating a sound that is both retro and fresh. The band has garnered local acclaim, including being named “Best Live Band” by Austin Fit Magazine in 2022 and 2023.
Honey Made’s energetic performances and diverse musical influences have earned them recognition and opportunities to share the stage with renowned artists like George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Lee Fields, and The Motet. The band’s debut album, “Brand New,” was produced by Grammy winner Steve Berlin of Los Lobos, and they have released subsequent EPs and albums, including “Charge It to the Band Fund,” which explores themes of uncertainty in the music industry. Honey Made’s music also features collaborations with other musicians, like violinist Sage Nizhoni, adding to their dynamic sound.
