North Mississippi Allstars are taking the stage at Sam’s Burger Joint as part of their PRAYER FOR PEACE tour.  Founded in 1996 by brothers Luther (guitar and vocals) and Cody Dickinson (drums, piano, synth bass, programming and vocals),the product of a special time for modern Mississippi country blues. The now venerable band are entering their second decade with what is unquestionably the most vital album of their brilliant career.  After earning 2 more Grammy nominations in the same category for 51 Phantom (2001) and Electric Blue Watermelon (2005), the North Mississippi Allstars earned the reputation as one of the most intriguing acts to emerge from the loam of Southern blues and roots rock. Most recently, Luther and Cody have toured extensively with Robert Plant & The Band of Joy, Allman Brothers Band, Dead & Company, The Terrapin Family Band), vocalist Sharisse Norman, bassist Dominic Davis (‪Jack White).
