For the first time ever in this combination, please come experience the sounds of New Orleans’ quintessential funk band – the creators of funk! Lead by founding member, guitarist and lyricist, Leo Nocentelli, who is a GRAMMY lifetime achievement award recipient, the group includes David Russell Batiste, Sr. (David). David was The Meters’ keyboard player for 3 years including the famous Saturday Night Live show, and he is a member of the
Louisiana Music Hall of fame. The group also includes David Russell Batiste, Jr. (Russell), drummer for the Funky Meters for 22 years. To top off this amazing combination, the group will have two bassists – Donald Ramsey and “thunder thumbs” Bill “the Budda” Dickens.
