“Amidst the vast and vibrant Texas music landscape, Love and Chaos emerges as the fusion of two distinct musical universes— AJ Vallejo, the acclaimed frontman of ‘Vallejo,’ known for touring alongside national acts like The Black Crowes, Matchbox 20, Stone Temple Pilots, and Blues Traveler, and Kendall Beard, a captivating artist who honed her craft enchanting audiences in the Texas Rodeo/Opry circuit and gained acclaim as a Season 8 ‘American Idol’ semifinalist. Their music effortlessly melds Americana, alt-rock, and country, transcending conventional genre boundaries.
AJ, a three-time Producer of the Year at the Austin Music Awards, collaborated with Kendall after her ‘Idol’ journey, producing and recording her debut album. The studio relationship during that period proved to be so fruitful that the powerful songwriting duo birthed ‘Out of State Out of Mind,’ a single originally intended as a one-time endeavor. Yet, the overwhelming reception from audiences propelled them to explore further musical collaborations.
In 2017, Love and Chaos debuted their first EP, quickly captivating a growing dedicated fanbase. Another EP followed in December 2019, adding a new chapter to their evolving musical narrative.
Their journey is marked by notable milestones, including sharing stages with iconic acts like REO SPEEDWAGON and STYX during their Texas tour leg, as well as performances alongside artists like Diamond Rio, Monte Montgomery, and Whiskey Myers.
Their meteoric rise was highlighted by the 2023 Best New Band win at the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards and a significant collaboration with Willy Braun from ‘Reckless Kelly,’ resulting in ‘Wildflower,’ reaching the top of the Texas Regional Radio Charts in December 2022. ‘Wildflower’ also secured the fourth-highest position among the most-played songs on the Texas Regional Radio Charts for the entire year.
Following this triumph, Love and Chaos continued their chart-topping streak with ‘Come Back to Bed,’ their second single that claimed the number one spot on the Texas Charts in October 2023.
AJ and Kendall are diligently crafting their highly-anticipated debut full-length album, slated for a 2024 release. Fans eagerly await this culmination of their musical journey as Love and Chaos prepares for a tour to present their best and most distinctive work to audiences worldwide.”
